Silver care

Care for detail, gently.

Silver changes at the surface over time; that is the metal breathing, not a fault. Gentle habits keep filigree bright for decades.

Handling

Lift a piece by its sturdier frame, never by projecting curls or single wires. The lattice is structurally sound as a whole — individual threads are not handles.

Storing

Keep pieces dry, away from perfume and direct sunlight, each in its supplied box or a soft cotton pouch. Stored silver tarnishes far slower than displayed silver.

Cleaning

Start with a soft, dry cotton cloth. For deeper tarnish, use a silver-safe cloth on frame areas only. Avoid abrasive powders, hard brushes, dips and machine cleaning — they are too aggressive for open wirework.

If a piece needs real attention, write to us before attempting a repair. The workshop that made it is the safest pair of hands it can return to.
