What the GI protects
The registration recognises Karimnagar Silver Filigree as a craft tied to its documented place and practice. It does not make every silver object automatically authentic — which is why we verify at the level of the individual piece.
What we verify per piece
Weight on a calibrated scale. Dimensions. Purity (92.5 hallmarked, with the hallmark number recorded). Workshop attribution. GI origin. The verified panel on each product page shows exactly these facts, with the date they were checked and by whom.
Unknown details are omitted rather than guessed.
Certificates and public checking
Every piece ships with a stamped certificate carrying a unique serial. Anyone — a buyer, a giftee, a future collector — can enter that serial at fabfiligree.com/verify and see the piece it belongs to.
